ต่อมาในในรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงแก้นามพระนครเป็น “กรุงเทพมหานคร บวรรัตนโกสินท์ มหินทอยุธยา”
จนถึงรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงเปลี่ยนคำว่า บวร เป็น อมร เปลี่ยนคำว่า มหินทอยุธยา โดยวิธีการสนธิศัพท์เป็น มหินทรายุธยา และเติมสร้อยนามต่อ ทั้งเปลี่ยนการสะกดคำ สินท์ เป็น สินทร์ จนเป็นที่มาของชื่อเต็มของกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ ข้างต้น
ไม่ทราบว่าผู้สมัครรับเลือกตั้งผู้ว่าของพรรคก้าวไกลคิดอะไรอยู่ ถึงขนาดเปิดแคมเปญขีดฆ่าชื่อเมืองหลวงประเทศไทยทิ้ง
ไม่รู้ว่าผู้สมัครคนนี้ต้องการอะไร
และสิ่งที่ผู้สมัครคนนี้แสดงออกก่อนหน้านั้น ได้ออกมาประกาศจะทวงคืนท้องสนามหลวง ทั้งที่ท้องสนามหลวงเป็นสมบัติของชาติ อยู่ในความดูแลรักษาของกรมศิลปากร ซึ่งมอบให้ กทม. เป็นผู้ดำเนินการ
มาวันนี้ก็ออกมาทำป้ายขีดฆ่าชื่อเมืองหลวง
เห็นภาพนี้แล้วทำให้หลายคนเริ่มสงสัยว่า อดีตเลขาพรรคก้าวไกลที่ลงทุนลาออกมาลงสมัครผู้ว่ากรุงเทพฯ คนนี้เขาต้องการอะไร
สิ่งที่เขาทำมันจะช่วยยกระดับฐานะของประชาชนที่อยู่ในกรุงเทพตรงไหน
แคมเปญนี้มันจะทำให้คนกรุงเทพมีค่าครองชีพถูกลงได้อย่างไร
แคมเปญนี้มันจะช่วยให้น้ำไม่ท่วมกรุงเทพด้วยหรือไม่
แคมเปญนี้คนกรุงเทพจะหลุดพ้นจากปัญหาขยะล้นเมืองได้ไหม
แคมเปญนี้จะช่วยให้รถไม่ติดด้วยหรือเปล่า
นี่เป็นแค่ผู้สมัครผู้ว่า หากได้เป็นผู้ว่า ต่อไปคงจะเปลี่ยนชื่อถนน เปลี่ยนชื่อสะพาน แล้วก็เปลี่ยนทุกอย่างที่เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของสถาบัน
ทุกคนในสังคมนี้พยายามมองหาคำตอบว่า สิ่งที่ผู้สมัครรับเลือกตั้งผู้ว่าคนนี้ทำ คนกรุงเทพจะได้อะไร

His Majesty King Phra Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke (King Rama I) gave the first name of Bangkok in the Thai language as "Krung Rattanakosin In Ayothaya."
Then, His Majesty King Phra Nangklao Chaoyuhua (King Rama III) changed Bangkok's name to "Krungthep Mahanakorn Baworn Rattanakosin Mahintha Ayutthaya."
Later, King Phra Chomklao Chaoyuhua (King Rama IV) changed the word "Baworn" to "Amorn," altered "Mahintha Ayutthaya" to "Mahintara Ayutthaya," and changed the spelling of the word "Sin" to the present name.

Not sure what the Move Forward Party's candidate for Bangkok governor was thinking about when he launched a campaign to shorten the name of Thailand's capital city?
Not sure what this candidate for Bangkok governor wants?
Previously, he announced that he would take back the Sanam Luang (the open field and public square in front of Wat Phra Kaew Temple and the Grand Palace), even though the Sanam Luang is a national property, under the conservation of the Fine Arts Department. And the Fine Arts Department delegates the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to take care of the Sanam Luang area.
Today, he has announced that he will shorten the Thai name of Bangkok.
After seeing this picture, many people have started to doubt what this candidate for the Bangkok governor, who has resigned from the Move Forward Party's secretary position, wants.
Will this help raise the well-being of people in Bangkok?
Will this campaign reduce the cost of living for Bangkok people?
Will this campaign get rid of Bangkok's flooding?
Will this campaign free Bangkok people from overflowing garbage?
Will this campaign solve the traffic jam?
He is now just a candidate for Bangkok governor. If he were the Bangkok governor, would he change the roads and bridges' names and everything symbolic of the monarchy?
Everybody in this society is trying to find out what Bangkok people will get from this candidate for Bangkok governor.
