ตอบ จิต คือ ธรรมชาติที่มีหน้าที่รับอารมณ์ จำอารมณ์ รู้อารมณ์ คิดในอารมณ์
เมื่อใดที่จิตนี้รับอารมณ์ จำอารมณ์ รู้อารมณ์ และนำเอาอารมณ์นั้นมาคิด เรียกว่า ปรุงแต่ง ขณะนั้น เรียกว่า สังขาร เช่นนี้ เรียกว่า กระบวนการของจิตตสังขาร

Question : What does “mental formation” mean?
Answer : Nature of mind is to receive emotion, remember emotion, know about emotion, and think about emotion.
Whenever this mind receives emotion, remembers emotion, knows about emotion, and thinks about emotion, it is called perception.
That moment is called mental formation. As such, it is called procedure of mental formation.
