เมื่อโควิดระบาดระลอกสองนี้ช่างหนักหนาสาหัสนัก ทำเอาชาวสวน ชาวไร่ เกษตรกรขายผลผลิตไม่ได้
พืชผัก ผลผลิต ที่เคยมีกลุ่มพ่อค้า รถเร่ ยี่ปั๊ว มารับซื้อกันถึงบนสวน
แต่ปัจจุบัน ไม่มีเงาขอรถรับซื้อแม้แต่คันเดียว เมื่อปลูกมาแล้วไม่มีใครมารับซื้อ ชาวสวน ชาวไร่ ก็ต้องรวมตัวกันหารถบรรทุกพืชผลผลิตไปขายเองในตลาด นั่งขายอยู่เป็นวัน ยังขายไม่หมด
เพราะผู้คนมาซื้อน้อย ทั้งกังวลเรื่องโควิดและเศรษฐกิจฝืดเคือง ร้านรวงที่เคยต้องการพืชผักเหล่านี้ไปประกอบอาหารขาย ด้วยความกลัวและฝืดเคือง ทำให้ผู้คนกินข้าวนอกบ้านน้อยลง
สุดท้ายผลกระทบก็มาตกถึงชาวไร่ ชาวสวนจนได้
ลามมาถึงลูกเด็กเล็กแดง ที่กำลังศึกษาเล่าเรียน
พวกเด็กๆ ที่มีทุนทางสังคมน้อยอยู่แล้ว พอพ่อแม่ขายพืชผลผลิตไม่ได้ ลูกหลานก็พลอยอัตคัดอยู่อย่างขัดสน บางครั้งต้องให้ลูกเลิกเรียนไปก็มี
การเดินทางขึ้นเหนือครั้งนี้ จุดมุ่งหมายนอกจากสอนธรรมแก่ผู้ปฎิบัติแล้ว ยังต้องการมามอบทุนการศึกษาให้แก่เด็กๆ ที่ขาดแคลนด้วย
เด็กๆ พวกนี้เรียนดี แต่ขาดทุนทรัพย์
บางคนมีแต่แม่ พ่อป่วย พ่อตาย
บางคน แม่ไม่มี มีแต่พ่อ แต่ครอบครัวก็ขัดสนเพราะลูกมาก
บางคน มีทั้งพ่อทั้งแม่ แต่หนี้สินรุงรัง จนไม่สามารถส่งลูกให้ได้เล่าเรียนได้
แม้รัฐบาลจะมีกองทุน กยศ. ให้กู้ยืมมาเรียน แต่ด้วยเงื่อนไขที่ต้องมีข้าราชการเซ็นค้ำประกัน เลยทำให้เด็กๆ หลายคนไม่สามารถเข้าถึงกองทุนเล่าเรียนของรัฐได้
ตั้งใจว่าวันที่ ๒๔ นี้จะต้องเดินทางไปฟังคำพิพากษาที่ ศาลอาญารัชดาฯ มีโอกาสจะคุยกับรัฐมนตรีการศึกษาว่า จะเป็นไปได้ไหมที่จะปรับเปลี่ยนเงื่อนไขการกู้เงินกองทุน กยศ. ขอให้บุคคลธรรมดาเซ็นรับรองกันและกันได้ โดยไม่ต้องเป็นข้าราชการ
หลังจากแจกทุนการศึกษาเรียบร้อยแล้ว มีเด็กสองคน โดนครูพามาแนะนำตัวว่า พวกเขามีผลการเรียนที่ดีมาก เกรดเฉลี่ยแต่ละวิชาได้ถึง ๓.๘ เขาอยากเรียนต่อทั้งสองคน แต่ฐานะทางบ้านยากจน ครูจึงพามาขอความช่วยเหลือ
เราก็รับปากว่า ขอให้ส่งประวัติการเรียนมา
ส่วนทางบ้าน จะส่งคนไปตรวจสอบ
หากเห็นว่า จำเป็นต้องช่วยเหลือ ก็จะช่วยเท่าที่สามารถช่วยได้

COVID has hit even hill tribes.

The second wave of COVID-19 pandemic is extremely severe. Farmers cannot sell their agricultural products.
Usually, groups of merchants, hawking cars, and dealers came to buy agricultural products from the farms.
But nowadays, there is not even a shadow of car going there to buy the products. These farmers have grown, but no one buys the products. Therefore, the farmers load the agricultural products by trucks for selling at the markets. They sit at the markets all day, but the products are still left.
People buy less because they are worried about COVID-19 and economic recession. Shops and restaurants which normally buy vegetables for cooking food, buy less. People eat outside less because of fear and scarcity.
Finally, farmers have got impact.
This has affected children who are studying.
These children already have limited opportunity in life. When their parents cannot sell agricultural products, their children live in scarcity. Some children had to quit their study.
Going to the North this time is not only to teach Dhamma, but also give scholarships to poor students.
These students are good at study but are lack of money.
Some children have only mothers. Their fathers are sick or dead.
Some children have only fathers. Having several children, their families are poor.
Some children have both parents but have lots of debts. So, they cannot afford the tuition fees.
Though the government has Student Loan Fund, many children cannot access to the fund, because there is a condition to have a government official to sign a guarantee.
After giving scholarships, teachers brought two children. The teachers said that they have a very good educational performance and got GPA of 3.8. The both want to continue their study but their families are poor. So, the teachers brought them to ask for help.
I accepted to help and asked them to submit their study records.
Then, somebody will check the family background.
If they deserve help, I will help as I can.
