อธิบายคำว่า ได้เห็น หมายถึง เห็นทางตากับเห็นทางใจ ซึ่งต้องมีความเห็นอย่างประเสริฐ ได้เห็นท่านผู้ประเสริฐ ได้เห็นสิ่งที่ประเสริฐ ได้เห็นข้อธรรมอันประเสริฐ ความได้เห็นข้อปฏิบัติที่ทำให้ผู้เห็นเจริญอันประเสริฐ
ซึ่งหากจะว่าโดยหลักแล้ว ท่านจัดความเห็นเอาไว้
๑. ทัสสนานุตตริยะ ความเห็นอันประเสริฐได้แก่ การเห็นตถาคต หรือเห็นสาวกของตถาคต
๒. สวนานุตตริยะ การเห็นธรรม การฟังธรรมอันประเสริฐ คือ สดับธรรมของพระตถาคต
๓. ลาภานุตตริยะ การได้อันประเสริฐ ได้แก่ การได้ศรัทธา ตั้งมั่นในพระสัทธรรมของพระตถาคต
๔. สิกขานุตตริยะ การศึกษาปฏิบัติอันประเสริฐ ได้แก่การฝึกอบรมในศีล-สมาธิ-ปัญญาในธรรมวินัย ที่องค์พระศาสดาทรงประกาศแล้ว
๕. ปาริจริยานุตตริยะ การบำรุงอันประเสริฐ ได้แก่ การบำรุงรับใช้พระตถาคต และสาวกของตถาคต
๖. อนุสสตานุตตริยะ การระลึกอันประเสริฐ ระลึกถึงตถาคต-สาวก เพื่อละความเบื่อหน่าย คลายกำหนัด เพื่อความดับ เพื่อการตรัสรู้
สรุปความเห็นใดที่ผู้เห็นได้มองเห็นแล้วสามารถเข้าถึงโลกสมมุติและโลกปรมัติได้อย่างถูกต้อง ซื่อตรง สุจริต ถือได้ว่าเป็นความเห็นอันประเสริฐยิ่ง
อธิบายคำว่า สมณะ หมายถึง ผู้สงบกาย สงบวาจา สงบใจ
ผู้มีกายสุจริต วาจาสุจริต ใจสุจริต
ผู้มีกายตั้งมั่น วาจา ตั้งมั่น ใจตั้งมั่น
ผู้ตั้งอยู่ในบุญยเขต คือ เป็นเขตแดนของผู้เจริญบุญกุศล กาย วาจา ใจ ตั้งอยู่ในศีล สมาธิ ปัญญา และผู้เพ่งบำเพ็ญเพียร ตบะ อยู่ตลอดเวลาจนห่างไกลจากบาป อกุศล ทั้งปวง
ถามว่า เห็นสมณะแล้วจักเกิดคุณประโยชน์อย่างไร
อธิบายคำว่า การที่เราได้มีโอกาสพบเห็นสมณะผู้ประเสริฐด้วยคุณลักษณะดังกล่าวมา เราจักได้รับประโยชน์ดังต่อไปนี้
๑. ทำให้จิตบังเกิดความศรัทธา เลื่อมใส
๒. ทำให้จิตสงบ เย็น ปิติ
๓. ทำให้ปรารถนาที่จะเข้าไปอยู่ใกล้ๆ
๔. เมื่อเข้าไปอยู่ใกล้ๆ แล้วกาย ใจ ยิ่งสงบเย็น
๕. และเมื่อได้สดับฟังคำสอน ได้เห็นวัตรปฏิบัติของท่าน ทำให้จิตสงบ ระงับ เกิดสติปัญญาพิจารณาแยกแยะเหตุผลได้ชัดเจน
๖. ทำให้ผู้เห็นมีพัฒนาการทางกาย วาจา ใจ ไปในทางแห่งความเจริญ ห่างไกลทางเสื่อม
๗. ทำให้ผู้พบเห็นสามารถมีแนวทาง กำจัดมลทินแห่งใจได้
๘. ทำให้ได้สุคติเมื่อถึงความตายและบรรลุมรรคผลได้
ตัวอย่างของประโยชน์ที่ได้พบเห็นสมณะอย่างเช่น
พระสารีบุตร เมื่อครั้งที่ท่านยังเป็นมานพหนุ่มนามว่า อุปติสสะ ได้พบเห็น พระอัสสชิ พุทธสาวกแห่งพระบรมศาสดา
เมื่ออุปติสสะได้ทัศนาอากัปกิริยาของท่านพระอัสสชิแล้วบังเกิดศรัทธาเลื่อมใส จนขอฟังธรรมแล้วอุทิศตนขอบวช ทั้งได้บรรลุพระอรหัตน์ และได้เป็นพระอัครสาวกเบื้องขวา ขององค์พระบรมศาสดาในเวลาต่อมา
เมื่อเราเห็นสมณะแล้วควรทำอย่างไร
๑. แสดงความนอบน้อม กราบไหว้ด้วยกาย วาจา ใจ
๒. ให้การอุปัฏฐาก อุปถัมภ์ท่านตามสมควรแก่สมณสารูป
๓. ปฏิบัติตามคำสั่งสอนของท่านด้วยความเคารพ
๔. ขยันหมั่นเพียรต่อการศึกษาเล่าเรียน พิสูจน์ในคำสอนของท่านให้เจริญยิ่งๆ ขึ้น
๕. เผยแผ่คำสอนของท่าน ที่เราได้พิสูจน์แล้วว่ามีผลจริง ต่อสาธารณชน
เอตัมมังคะละมุตตะมัง ข้อนี้เป็นมงคลอันสูงสุด

Seeing noble priests

Seeing here means seeing via eyes or mind which means noble seeing such seeing noblemen, noble objects, or noble Dharma principles, and noble Dharma practice.
In principle, noble seeing is included as below.
1. Noble seeing such seeing Lord Buddha or his disciples
2. Seeing Dharma and listening to heavenly Dharma preaching such as listening to Lord Buddha’s Dharma
3. Noble gain such as gaining faith in Lord Buddha’s Dharma
4. Noble study and practice such as practice in precepts, meditation, and wisdom in the code of monastic rules, as prescribed by the Lord Buddha
5. Noble nourishment means serving Lord Buddha and his disciples
6. Noble recall such as recalling Lord Buddha and his disciples to attain freedom from worldly desire, extinguish defilement, and attain enlightenment
In conclusion, any concept that people can perceive and correct, honestly, and righteously attain the hypothetical world and the ultimate world, it is called noble seeing.
Priest means a person who has peaceful action, speech, and mind.
Person who has honest action, speech, and thought.
Person who has well-established action, speech, and thought.
Person who is within meritorious territory means a person who prospers in meritorious actions, speech, and thoughts, based on precepts, meditation, and wisdom, as well as person who puts efforts in practicing Dharma and is far from all kinds of sins and evils.
As for the question how beneficial seeing noble priest will be?
Seeing noble priests with mentioned characteristics results in following benefits.
1. Our minds become faithful.
2. Our minds feel of peace, coolness, and bliss.
3. It makes us want to be near them.
4. When we are near them, our body and mind become even more peaceful and cooler.
5. When we listen to their teaching and see their practice, our minds become peaceful and we will gain wisdom to clearly consider and classify reasoning.
6. We will have good development in our action, speech, and mind, in a way which is far from degeneration.
7. People who see them will have guideline to get rid of impurity in their minds.
8. People who see them will go to blissful places after death, and they may attain enlightenment.
An example of benefits from seeing noble priest
Phra Sareebut, when he was a young man named Upatissa, met Phra Assachi, a disciple of Lord Buddha.
Upatissa saw manners of Phra Assachi and became faithful. Upatissa requested Phra Assachi to preach Dharma, asked to be ordained, became an Arhant, and later became the right Chief disciple of Lord Buddha.
What we should do after meeting a noble priest.
1. Express a respectful, courteous worship with our action, speech, and mind
2. Serve him as appropriate
3. Respectfully follow his teaching
4. Persevere to study and prove his teachings
5. Propagate his teachings which are proven truthful to the public
This is the most auspicious factor in one’s life.
