คุณหมอและพยาบาลที่ทุ่มเททำงานรับใช้ประชาชนผู้ติดเชื้ออยู่ในโรงพยาบาลสนาม นอกจากจะมีเหลือจำนวนน้อยนิดแล้ว เพราะติดโรคจากผู้ป่วยนำมาแพร่ให้แก่พวกเขา
ยังต้องทรมานกับการต้องมาสวมใส่ชุด PPE ที่คุมตั้งแต่หัวจนถึงตีน
ร้อนก็ร้อน อบก็อบ ใส่ก็ยาก จะถอดก็ลำบาก ต้องมีคนคอยช่วยใส่และช่วยถอด
วันทั้งวัน คุณหมอและพยาบาลต้องทนสวมอยู่กับชุดป้องกันเชื้อยู่เช่นนั้น ปวดขี้ ปวดเยี่ยว ก็เข้าห้องน้ำไม่ได้ ต้องใส่แพมเพิส ผ้าอ้อมของผู้ใหญ่ ยืน เดิน ทำงานอยู่กับขี้ เยี่ยว ของตนเองที่ถ่ายออกมา ขณะทำงานเวลาปวด
ทั้งยังต้องถูกกักบริเวณ ๑๔ วัน หลังจากออกจากเวร
แทนที่ผู้ป่วยในโรงพยาบาลสนามหลายแห่ง บางคนจะเห็นอกเห็นใจ ให้ความร่วมมือ ต่อการปฏิบัติตัว ตามข้อกำหนดที่เข้ามาพักรักษาตัว เฝ้าดูอาการ ในโรงพยาบาลสนาม
บางคนกลับทำตัวเหมือนอยู่ในบ้าน ด้วยข้ออ้างว่า เครียด เครียด
เช่น เอาแต่คุยโทรศัพท์ทั้งคืน ขณะที่เพื่อนๆ ข้างเตียงเขากำลังพักผ่อน แต่บางคนกลับฟังเพลงจากมือถือ แล้วเปิดเสียงดังรบกวนผู้ป่วยอื่นๆ
เวลาพยาบาลหรือเจ้าหน้าที่เขาเตือน ก็แสดงพฤติกรรมต่ำตม ระบายอารมณ์ใส่เขา
บางคนถึงขนาดจับกลุ่มกันเมาท์ จนส่งเสียงดังตอนกลางคืน สร้างความเดือดร้อน รำคาญแก่ผู้ป่วยอื่นๆ
บางคนถึงขนาดออกกำลังกายในสถานพยาบาลสนาม ด้วยการเปิดเพลงประกอบท่าเต้นเสียงดังสนั่น จนเพื่อนผู้ป่วยรำคาญ พอมีพยาบาลเขามาเตือนให้เบาเสียงหน่อย กลับหันมาพูดใส่หน้าว่า เป็นสิทธิ์ของเขาที่จะออกกำลังกายเพื่อร่างกายที่แข็งแรง
หลายคนพอถึงเวลาตื่นขึ้นตามเวลาที่โรงพยาบาลสนามกำหนด กลับไม่ยอมตื่น
เมื่อไม่ตื่นก็มิได้วัดความดัน วัดไข้ วัดอ๊อกซิเจนในเลือด และตรวจชีพจรตามเวลา หมอและพยาบาลที่เข้าเวรมาตรวจ ไม่สามารถเก็บสถิติการตรวจประจำวัน ประจำเวลา จากคนป่วยได้ครบ จึงต้องกลับมาสวมชุดเกราะป้องกันมาตรวจนอกเวลาอีกรอบ
นี่คือตัวอย่างเล็กน้อยที่คุณหมอและพยาบาล เจ้าหน้าที่ที่ประจำอยู่โรงพยาบาลสนามทั่วประเทศต้องเจอ
เจอกับพวกมีโลกส่วนตัวสูง
เจอกับพวกที่ทำตามใจกู
เจอกับพวกที่ชอบเรียกร้องสิทธิ์ โดยที่ไม่รู้จักกาลเทศะ
เจอกับพวกเห็นแก่ตัว โดยไม่สนใจความทุกข์ เดือดร้อนของผู้อื่น
เหล่านี้คือ เครื่องบั่นทอน กำลังกาย กำลังใจ ต่อผู้ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ตามโรงพยาบาลสนาม ที่ต้องเจออย่างชนิดหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้
พวกเขาก็ไม่ปริปากบ่น ได้แต่สู้กัดฟัน ทำหน้าที่อย่างทุ่มเท แล้วก็นั่งปรับทุกข์เพื่อระบายความอัดอั้น
อยากจะบอกแก่พี่น้องชาวไทย ที่ยังต้องการความช่วยเหลือจากนักรบเสื้อกาวน์เหล่านี้ว่า
หากไม่ช่วย ก็อย่าทำร้ายเขา
หากไม่เมตตา ก็อย่าด่าว่า ตำหนิ ติเตียนเขา
หากไม่ชอบ ก็อย่าระบายอารมณ์ บั่นทอนกำลังใจพวกเขา
หากคิดว่า กลัวตาย ก็อย่าทำให้ผู้อื่นต้องมาเหนื่อยตายเพราะคนแบบคุณ
คุณอย่าลืมว่า หมอในประเทศนี้มี ๖๑,๓๐๒ คน และพยาบาลในประเทศนี้มี ๑๑๙,๒๓๘ คน และปัจจุบันติดโควิดไปแล้ว ๑๔๖ คน
ที่เหลือยังต้องมารับมือกับผู้ป่วยวันละพัน สองพันขึ้น
ถามหน่อยว่า ถ้าพวกคุณเป็นเขา แล้วต้องมาเจอกับนิสัยเลวๆ ของใครบางคนเช่นนี้ คุณจะทนไหวมั้ย

Doctors and nurses have devoted themselves to help infected patients in field hospitals. Not many of them are left because some medical personnel got infected from their patients.
They also suffer from wearing full PPE suits from heads to toes.
They feel very hot, stuffy, uncomfortable wearing PPE suit, which is difficult to wear and take off. So, they need to be assisted in wearing and taking off PPE suits.
All days and nights, doctors and nurses must put up with wearing PPE suits. They cannot go to restrooms, but wear adult diapers standing, walking, and working with their own feces and urine.
In addition, they are quarantined for 14 days, after their shifts.
In stead of sympathizing with them and complying with rules of field hospitals, some patients behaved as if they were at home and gave excuses of stress relief.
For example, some patients talked over the phone all night while other patients were resting. Some listened to music from their cell phones and loud music disturbed other patients.
When nurses or hospital officials warned them, some patients became mad at them.
Some patients gathered to gossip about others and talked loudly at night which disturbed other patients.
Some people even exercised in field hospitals by playing songs loudly and disturbed other patients. When nurses warned them, some patients said it was their rights to exercise for healthy body.
When it was time to wake up, some patients did not. So, doctors and nurses could not check blood pressure, fever, oxygen saturation in blood, and pulse, and could not completely collect statistics from patients. So, they had to wear PPE suits again outside their shifts and came back at another time.
These are just small examples that doctors, nurses, and staff at field hospitals nationwide are facing.
They are facing people who live in their own world.
They are facing self-centered people.
They are facing people who inappropriately claim their rights.
They are facing selfish people who do not care about other people’s suffering and trouble.
Unavoidably, these physically and mentally undermine medical personnel in field hospitals.
These medical personnel do not complain but have continued to devote themselves to perform their duties. However, they have confided to release their frustration.
I would like to tell fellow Thais who still want to receive aid from these warriors in gown suits.
If you don’t help them, don’t hurt them.
If you don’t sympathize with them, don’t blame or criticize them.
If you don’t like them, don’t be mad at them because it decreases their morale.
And if you are afraid of death, don’t make others tired to death for people like you.
Don’t forget that there are 61,302 doctors and 119,238 nurses in this country. Now 146 medical personnel are infected with COVID-19.
The rest of them have to cope with over one and two thousand daily new COVID-19 patients.
May I ask? If you were them, and you would face poor manners of some people, could you tolerate it?
