Where did occultism, black magic, incantation, amulets, fortune telling, and cursing come from? (Part 1)
March 15, 2021
They originated from the ancient scripture of Bramanism and Hinduism, called the Atharvaveda. It is one of four major Vedic scriptures of Bramanism and Hinduism as follows.
The Rigveda contains hymns that worship and praise deities.
The Yajurveda consists of prose mantras that were said by a priest while performing ritual actions.
The Samaveda is the Veda of melodies and chants.
The Atharvaveda is a Vedic-era collection of spells, prayers, charms, and hymns, for driving away misfortune and curse enemies.
As such, occultism, black magic, incantation, amulets, cursing which causes disaster to enemies, and fortune telling all came from the Atharvaveda.
In addition, knowledge of the Atharvaveda permeated into Mahayana Buddhism, Tantric Buddhism, Bonism, and other doctrines which are widespread in Tibet, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Japan, Mon, Khmer, Malay, and several European countries.
The Atharvaveda is the origin of occultism, black magic, incantation, and amulets.
There were various beliefs outside the Atharvaveda such as the Vodun of African and Native American Indian that kept and used spirits.
People in Myanmar, Mon, Laos, Khmer, Thai have been inherited this doctrine till today such as ogre, evil spirit, sylvan spirit, forest spirit, satyr, tiger-man, and so on.
These are doctrine of raising spirits which is outside the Atharvaveda. However, they are all as part of occultism, black magic, incantation, amulets, fortune telling, and cursing.
Those who are well-versed, proficient, and skillful in performing ritual actions are for example fortune tellers, warlocks, and shamans.
No matter how ancient and sacred the Atharvaveda is. If the person who uses it has no willpower, it is like doing things one-sided which will not yield any desired effects.
