ได้โทรไปถามท่านสาธารณสุขจังหวัดนครปฐมว่า สถานการณ์ของผู้ติดเชื้อโควิดในนครปฐม มีแนวโน้มที่จะลุกลามบ้างไหม
วัดอ้อน้อย (ธรรมอิสระ) และมูลนิธิ จะได้เตรียมตัวจัดตั้งโรงทาน เพื่อประกอบอาหารเลี้ยงพี่น้องประชาชน ที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากการขาดรายได้
อีกทั้งจะได้ปิดวัด งดจัดกิจกรรมทุกชนิด เพื่อไม่ให้ผู้ที่มาวัดต้องเสี่ยงกับการเดินทาง
คุณหมอสาธารณสุขแจ้งกลับมาว่า ยอดผู้ติดเชื้อตอนนี้ยังไม่นิ่ง ยังอยู่ในตัวเลขที่พอจะรับมือได้ แต่ถ้าหากมีผู้ติดเชื้อ ๑๐๐ คนขึ้นไป ถึงช่วงนั้นคงจะเป็นวิกฤตของจังหวัดแล้ว
ฉันจึงถามกลับไปว่า แล้วช่วงนี้มีผู้ที่อยู่ในระยะเฝ้าระวังจำนวนมากหรือไม่
คุณหมอตอบว่า ส่วนใหญ่ก็เป็นญาติและผู้สัมผัสใกล้ชิดกับผู้ป่วย ซึ่งตอนนี้กำลังอยู่ในระยะเฝ้าระวัง
ฉันจึงถามว่า แล้วสถานที่โรงพยาบาลจะเพียงพอต่อการรับผู้ป่วย และคนกักตัวเฝ้าระวังหรือไม่
คุณหมอสาธารณสุข แจ้งมาว่า สถานที่โรงพยาบาลจริงๆ แล้วหากมียอดผู้ติดเชื้อเกิน ๑๐๐ คน คงจะรับไม่ไหว คงจะต้องหาสถานที่ทำโรงพยาบาลสนาม
พุทธะอิสระ พอได้ฟังเช่นนั้นจึงเสนอว่า
เช่นนั้นคุณหมอลองพิจารณาที่ลานหน้าพระใหญ่ของโรงเจหอคุณธรรมฟ้า วัดอ้อน้อย ซึ่งก็มีทั้งศาลาไม้ทรงไทย ทั้งอาคารห้องกระจกใต้ฐานพระทั้งสองชั้น มีห้องน้ำในตัว จะช่วยบรรเทาความทุกข์ยากของพี่น้องประชาชน และคลายความกังวลแก่หน่วยงานรัฐได้พอสมควร
คุณหมอสาธารณสุขแสดงความดีใจ พร้อมถามกลับมาด้วยความห่วงใยว่า แล้วจะไม่มีปัญหากับชุมชนรอบวัดอ้อน้อยหรือ
พุทธะอิสระ ตอบว่า ไม่มีปัญหาดอกคุณหมอ ชาวบ้านเขาไม่วุ่นวายต่อสิ่งที่ พุทธะอิสระ ทำอยู่แล้ว อีกทั้งหน้าโรงเจก็มีรั้วรอบขอบชิด เป็นสัดเป็นส่วน ไม่น่าจะมีใครเข้ามาเพ่นพ่านแพร่เชื้อได้
ทราบมาว่าเมื่อวานนี้ ทีมสาธารณสุขจังหวัดได้เข้ามาดูสถานที่แล้ว
ท่านเจ้าอาวาสได้พาพระเณรมาช่วยจัดเตรียมทำความสะอาดสถานที่ไว้รอรับผู้เฝ้าระวังแล้ว
ต้องขอบคุณคณะสงฆ์ วัดอ้อน้อย ที่มีจิตเมตตาต่อเพื่อนมนุษย์ผู้ตกทุกข์ได้ยาก สาธุ สาธุ สาธุ

I have called the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Health Office to ask how the current situation of COVID-19 cases in Nakhon Pathom province and the potential of spread are.
Onoi (Dhamma Isara) Temple and the foundation have prepared to set up an almshouse to cook meals for people who have been impacted from income loss.
Then, the temple will be closed and refrain from holding all kinds of activities so that visitors will not take risk from their traveling.
The Nakhon Pathom Public Provincial Health doctor replied that the total number of people infected with COVID-19 is not yet stable. The number of infected people is still manageable. However, if there are more than 100 infected people, it will be crisis for the province.
Then, I asked the doctor whether there are a lot of people in quarantine. The doctor answered that most of them are relatives or people in close proximity to COVID-19 patients.
I asked whether hospitals have sufficient space for patients and people in quarantine. The doctor said that if the number of patients exceeds 100, the hospitals will not be able to accommodate. Then, they will have to find a place for making a field hospital.
When Buddha Issara heard that, I proposed to the doctor to consider the courtyard in front of the big Buddha image within the area of the “Virtues of the Sky” Shrine of the Onoi Temple. The area consisted of Thai style wooden pavilion and two storey glass room with toilets inside, beneath the Buddha image’s pedestal. This shall relieve some suffering of people and lessen some worries of government agencies.
The Provincial Health doctor looked glad and asked with concerns whether this will be a problem for the community surrounding the temple.
Buddha Isara replied that there will not be any issue because people in the neighborhood are normally not impacted by what Buddha Isara does. Moreover, the front of the shrine has been properly bordered and enclosed. No one can come in to spread the disease.
I have heard that the Provincial Health team came to inspect the place yesterday.
The abbot has lead monks and novices to clean and prepare the place for receiving people in quarantine.
We must thank the clergy of Onoi Temple who have mercy on fellow human beings in suffering. Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu.
